It will depend on how big the soaps are. These are rather small. Like around 2-3 inches. Half of the goat soap block made 20 of them so I’d say a whole black makes 40. So two blocks of the soap? But if your soap molds are larger, you’ll need more of the soap!

Hi Kate! Yes, you could easily just use any mold or ice cube tray. The soap molds are more like the hard plastic candy molds. The bunny molds I used are silicone and I bought the in the candy making section. The half bar made an entire tray of the bunnies. They are about 2″ long and .5″ wide. In other words, they are pretty small. The soap did not go as far as I had expected it to so it’ll probably take more than you think. The package in the photo is a 2 lb block so it took 1 lb to make about 24 small soaps (good question!). I hope that helps!

I’m new to all this and wondered if you are able to use ice cube or cake silicone moulds or does it have to be specifically silicone soap moulds? Also how many did half the bar make and what’s the weight for when I’m buying. They’re super cute and am hoping to make some for Christmas presents for family and friends.

Why do they stink so much?! I grew up with all sisters and now I have this little boy who attracts dirt like a magnet and smells. Good thing he’s so darn cute! I love that mold. I would make bunny everything all year long! Have fun playing!

I LOVE IT!

This will be an awesome Easter project for us! You are a genius!
