Instead of using 2 cans of peach pie filling or peaches in heavy syrup, can I use
1 can of cherry pie filling and 1 can of crushed pineapple–along with the other ingredients?
Do you think the pineapple might have too much juice??

In reply to Deborah. You can use any fruit, pear, blueberry, cherry, apple, blackberries, dewberries, and many more. Go wild. Just use firm ripe fruit and have fun.

In reply to Megan. To use fresh fruit just prepare fruit and in a bowl add sugar put in fridge and it will make its own juice.

I am trying it tonight using 2 canned pears in light syrup. (I was out of peaches). I’ve added cinnamon & nutmeg, to my yellow cake mix, & butter. It smells great, but we shall see! (I made the peach one before, & it was great). Wish me luck!
